The west side of Puerto Rico has been my family’s home for generations. I made my first necklace from a shell found on the beach near my grandmother’s home in Aguada, and I never stopped drawing inspiration and materials from the beaches I visited during the summers when I was growing up. After making jewelry here for over a decade, selling it in local shops & at the weekly Rincón Art Walk, I am making a new connection to this place: opening my own shop in Puntas, Rincón, a more permanent place to make & share my jewelry and connect with the community.
It took over 10 years for this dream to become a reality. Like most things you want but have to wait for, this space is better than I could have imagined. We’re in a neighborhood full of locally owned restaurants & cafes, and the beach is just a short car ride away. We’re located next to Sana, one of my favorite restaurants. They serve coffee, fresh juices, healthy breakfast and lunch plates with lots of vegetarian & gluten free options, delicious desserts, and they even have a selection of locally grown fruits and vegetables for sale. Most importantly, my friends and fellow business owners helped me find, envision, and set up the space. I am so grateful for their support and involvement and for the mighty team of women who are helping me run the shop and produce the jewelry we sell.
Come visit! We hope to see you soon!
