If you're interested in making jewelry, Youtube & social media make it easy these days, but if you prefer a good ol' fashioned book, here are 3 that helped me start my own jewelry making journey.
If you like to learn in person & happen to be in Puerto Rico, I offer a beach gem jewelry class at the Rincón shop. In the class, you will learn how to properly drill holes in shells and sea glass & make jewelry using wire and chain. We talk about my favorite tools & techniques, and you can ask all the questions you want about making jewelry.

1. Teach Yourself Visually: Jewelry Making and Beading

This book taught me the basics. It has step by step instructions, great pictures, & is easy to understand.
2. Simple Soldering: A Beginner's Guide to Jewelry Making

This is the book I used to learn the basics of metal smithing. Learn about the tools, techniques, and follow the projects to help you practice & develop your soldering skills.
3. Indian Jewelry Making

Someone recommended this book to me. I love this book because it shows, step by step, how Native American metalsmiths created beautiful pieces. It helps you understand how to craft pieces together & inspires you to get creative.
